The Undo option that we introduced in ERPAG is great. It’s very convenient as a critical tool to maintain data integrity. You won’t have to go “OMG I made a mistake, I am so fired!” anymore! It’s not a permanent mistake, and mistakes in ERPAG are fixable!
The Undo option is located in the Timeline section of your document:
Unlike a simple text editor where “Undo” might just remove a word, ERPAG’s undo functionality is designed to handle transactional logic effectively. Our customers use it to fix any minor inconveniences they run into. For example, invoicing or packing too soon, or with the wrong price.
But what happens when you get an error? Specifically, the error that says, and I quote: “Transaction date and time is greater than related document date and time. !!!” If that doesn’t scare you, here is a visual:
Let’s say that in this case scenario, I already received Chairs to my stock, but I need to alter the Purchase Price according to the newest supplier price list. That is not possible if I have already received items to stock. I can undo the Supplier price list, but not the Goods Received Note.
How to fix timeline – undo error
Now you have two options. One is to click okay, come to terms with the fact that there’s nothing you can do, and go on with your day. But, there is something you can do to fix this! Click on the ‘stock card’ to see what is blocking you from performing UNDO.
As you can see from my stock card, there is a transaction regarding item 0004 Chair, after the purchase order I’m trying to Undo. It’s Stock adjustment: ADJ-000011
So first, I have to go to this stock adjustment and to UNDO it:
Once I’m done with this step, the Stock Adjustment will revert to ‘ENTERED’ status, and its entry will disappear from the stock list.
This means that I can go back to my PO, and Undo the Goods Received Note. This action will place my PO back to ‘ENTERED’ status, and now I can make the required price adjustments and be at peace with myself.
