product types in erpag

PRODUCT:

A physical basic, regular/ object/ product that you stock, sell, or use in the manufacturing process.

SERVICE:

You can add service in the Purchase order/ Sales order to increase the amount on the document for the service provided.

i.e a specific task, maintenance, consulting, repairs, shipping cost:

On the document level, this “service” will be visible from the dropdown menu: “shipping cost” to increase the total amount on your SO/PO.

BOM:

Everything you need to manufacture the finished product, i.e smaller parts that go into creating and producing a product, and the involved operations process.

i.e component materials, sub-components, raw material, scrap, work operation/routing.

CONSUMPTION PRODUCTS:

You automatically spend these items when you purchase them, such as office supplies, fuel, food, and drinks.

Stock cards are non-existent, for these items, they go to the expense account immediately after receiving.

KIT:

Kit is a set or a bundle of product combinations, that consist of as many products as we choose or require.

All the product/component parts will be visible on the Packing list that are within the specific KIT.

FIXED ASSET:

Similar to other Items, the difference is in a separate panel for entering the amortization/depreciation parameters.

This parameter indicates when you should depreciate your fixed assets. For example, with monthly depreciation, ERPAG will inform the operator with a notification on the menu to perform amortization.

VARIABLE PRODUCTS:

Variable product is linked to a Master product. And, every variant has a unique, individual SKU.

Upon creating a Variable product, you will be able to add variations defining its details.

This product type allows different variations of the same product, size, color, material.

DROPSHIP product:

Dropship product has no On hand or physical quantity in stock. You don’t receive dropship products to your stock. There is no physical location or warehouse. The supplier sends them directly to your customer; therefore, there is no stock card, no reserved quantity.

NON-INVENTORY product:

This item does not have stock (just like a dropship product).

However, you will be able to see reports of the item movement. When you wish to purchase or sell the item, you will always be able to pack and receive the items to the inventory. You can use them in BOM & they always show as ‘available qty’ in work orders. Non-inventory products are often used for small parts that you don’t track – nails, screws, etc.

You will be using bill items for paying public services, i.e essential services – water bills, phone bills, internet etc.

You can only control and select from the drop-down menu to which Expense account you wish the bill item to connect with.

ROUTING:

The Routing option is a faster way to group and add Work Operations to BOM if you are frequently using the same work operations to complete the Work Order.

i.e assemble, disassemble, pack.

CUSTOM product:

These are special items created individually. Each custom product is designed to meet the client’s perspective size, color, dimensions etc. The unique feature/s of the finished item bring your customer’s idea and vision to life. You will need blockly to configure these products.
