New Work Order Time Track Update
Tailoring time management to the way you work
We’ve just released a major upgrade to the work-order time-tracking module. The goal: give every ERPAG user the right balance of speed, detail, and control when logging time on operations.
1. Three ways to track time
| Method | Best for | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Manual entry | Quick “just write the hours” jobs | Enter the total hours (or minutes) spent. No start/stop clocks—just the realized time. Costs are calculated automatically from your hourly rate. |
| Time sheet | Detailed, multi-worker or multi-machine tasks | Create a dedicated time-sheet document (one per worker, if you like). Log durations or precise start/end times, split across days, add notes, attach files, and even run a live stopwatch. |
| Realized = planned | Repeatable operations that always match the plan | Tick one setting and the system locks realized time to the planned value. Both fields become read-only. |
Choose the level of detail that matches the job, the team, and your internal processes.
2. Deep-dive: Time sheet mode

When you select Time sheet, you unlock a toolset designed for day-to-day shop-floor control:
Assignment flexibility
- Assign specific operations to employees, machines, or tools—directly from the work order or from the Work Operation Assignment list (bulk actions supported).
- Assign all, some, or only one segment of an operation.
- Decide who/what is responsible before creating the time sheet.
Detailed time entry
- Type in duration or precise start ⇄ end times.
- Split a single operation across several days.
- Operations already logged turn green for quick visual feedback.
Live stopwatch
- Start, pause, or restart a stopwatch right inside the sheet.
- Each restart adds a new row—perfect for breaks and shift changes.
- A worker can run only one stopwatch at a time.
Completing tasks
- Mark tasks complete when finished (or Force complete if needed).
- Need to reopen? Hit Undo complete.
- Work-order status shows “Partially complete” when only some time sheets are done.
Centralized oversight
- Manufacturing ▸ Open Time Sheets shows everything in one place—with filters (e.g., Assign to me).
- See who’s on the clock in real time.
Extras
- Attach documents, write notes, or add custom fields—just like any ERPAG doc.
3. Work Operation Scopes

Scopes let you say who (or which machine) may perform an operation:
- By default, anyone can do any task.
- Add a scope to restrict an operation to specific employees or machines.
- The system enforces scopes during assignment—no more mix-ups.
- View scopes from either side: Which jobs can Marco do? / Which machines can run Core Cutting?
4. Mobile-app workflow

Everything above works on the shop-floor app:
- Workers open My time sheets (filtered automatically).
- They see only the operations allowed by scope.
- One tap to Start, Pause, or Complete—stopwatch and all.
- High-priority orders float to the top for fast action.
- Mistake? Use Undo complete right on the phone.
Why it matters
Whether you prefer a quick manual log or second-by-second tracking with scopes and assignments, the new module adapts to you. Expect fewer errors, clearer responsibilities, and more accurate cost data—without slowing anyone down.
Update now and put your time to better use!
